Nothing about this is complicated. It is a quiet room with a lot of color in it, big windows onto the courtyard, and enough chairs that you can bring someone with you.

Pick off the wall
Hundreds of bottles, shelved in color order from nude through red to slate. You choose by looking at the shelf, not by squinting at a ring of chips.

Both at once
Hands and feet at the same time is how most of our appointments run, so one visit covers the manicure and the pedicure.

Face the garden
The pedicure row looks straight out at the courtyard lawn and the trees. There is tea and water at the station by the door.

Leave with it set
No-chip gel, dip powder, or Dazzle Dry color — long chip-free wear, quick-drying, nontoxic and non-yellowing.

A whole wall, in order
Shelf after shelf, floor to eye level, running nude to rose to wine to red to taupe to charcoal to slate. It is the first thing most people walk to when they come in.
If you already know the shade you want, bring the bottle or the picture. If you have no idea, stand in front of the shelf for a minute — it usually decides for you.

The whole front of the shop is glass, so the light is daylight and what you look at while you sit is a courtyard, a lawn and a line of old trees. Orchids on the ledge, a tea and water station by the door, and enough seats that a group can come together.
